Booster Message PDF Print E-mail

The Upper Darby Football Boosters is a volunteer organization of player’s families and community members who support the football team. Below are some of the items the Boosters provide for the football team:

  • End of camp picnic
  • Weekly Pasta Night, during the season
  • Senior Appreciation Night – we provide corsages for parent of Senior players, picture of Senior player with their parent, and a gift for the Senior player
  • Football Banquet at the end of the season – players who fulfill their fundraising requirements will attend for free and will receive a player gift
  • Sponsor scholarship(s) awarded at Senior Class Awards Night
  • Contribute to coaching salaries
    • In order to provide the above, the Football Boosters organize or assist with various fundraising opportunities, and we are always open to new suggestions. It is expected and encouraged that all families participate and assist in at least one of the following fundraising opportunities. These opportunities can only be successful with the help and full cooperation of everyone!

      We are in need of volunteers to help with Flea Market, Game day – snack bar, apparel sales, 50/50 tickets, Pasta night, etc. Sign-up sheets to come!!! All are welcome!!

      The major Booster fundraisers are:

      • Cow Pie Bingo – April 27, 2013
      • Program Book
      • Freshman “Lottery” tickets
      • Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast – September 14, 2013
      • Golf Outing – September 29,, 2013 tee- time, 1:00pm
      • Annual Flea Market – August 18, 201
      • Game day – Snack stand, sale of UD football apparel, 50/50 ticket sales
      • Alumni Beef –n-Beer – May 18, 2013

JV & Varsity Fundraising Requirements PDF Print E-mail

All Varsity and JV players are expected to participate in fundraising activities to benefit the Upper Darby High School Football Program. Players are required to fundraise a minimum of $300 by July 15, 2013.

  • Player must sell a minimum of $100, or ten (10) Cow Pie tickets (sales deadline is April 24th)
  • Player must sell a minimum of $200 worth of Ads for the Program Book (sales deadline is July 15th)

OR: Player can sell Hole sponsor, Tournament sponsor or Foursome for the UD Golf Outing (Sept. 29th)

OR: in lieu of fundraising, pay $300 cash or check payable to UD Football Boosters

Players meeting their Fundraising Requirements will receive a Pride Pack, Banquet Ticket and Player Recognition Gift. Monies raised totaling $500 or more, the player will receive incentives above the standard.

ALL PLAYERS WHO DO NOT MEET FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENT WILL BE UNABLE TO ATTEND SUMMER WORKOUTS.

Each player is required to complete an additional activity in order to fulfill his fundraising requirement. Please choose one of the options listed below, to complete the requirement:

  1. Work for 2 hours at the flea market. Sign ups will be on a first come first served basis, and will be limited. Watch for sign-up announcement.
  2. Donate two cases of bottled water to be sold at the flea market concession stand – each case to contain 24 bottles, each 16.9 – 20 oz. We ask that the water be name brand such as Deer Park, Poland Spring, Aquafina, Dasani, no store brands please.
  3. Donate two cases of soda in cans to be sold at the Flea Market concession stand, each case to contain 24 cans. We ask that the soda be name brand such as Pepsi or Coke products, no store brands please.

Sign ups for any of the above fundraising requirements will be at the beginning of camp, August 12th Water and soda will need to be dropped off before the Flea Market which is scheduled for August 18th. Drop off time and location will be announced at the beginning of camp.
